This is the feedback I received from teacher Margaret Lawson on 3 October 2019.
My Gr 2 learners had to write sentences about their holidays. I have a boy in my class who got 27% for English.
He can’t really read and can’t write sentences that make sense. He just put letters next to each other.
The first picture shows his sentences at the beginning of term 3. As you can see, the bottom few sentences make no sense at all, it’s his own individual work.
I did the Thinking Tools course during the August holiday. The next photo shows his sentences after engaging with Thinking Tools.
Isn’t it amazing what progress this boy has made? I look past all the little mistakes. I’m excited because EVERYTHING MAKES SENSE !!
